My favorite place to grab a coffee in Frederick is Joanie’s Carroll Street Cafe. I’ve been there a few times now, and there is always something exciting going on. The other week my son and I just happened to show up as they were starting a children’s gardening class. A few weeks before that I was attending a photography workshop and I got to watch Joanie work her magic with a sewing machine.

Hi everyone!
I’m in the middle of an extended break from posting any new stuff here and wanted to let everyone know that I’ve been having a blast shooting weddings, portraits and events (including the above shot from the Brunswick Music Fest). I still plan on blogging about all of the amazing people that I’ve had a chance to photograph this year…but for the time being I’m spending my days making photographs, spending time with family & friends and enjoying life in general.
Pardon me while I turn off my computer for the summer.

My son Domenico will be five years old tomorrow and without a doubt this has been the best five years of my life. Rather than show you photos of Domenico (which I often share) I thought I’d dig up a few photos that he took in 2008.
